Who This Is For

Building, Fixing, or Scaling a Formula

Whether you're launching a new line or inheriting a formula that won't cooperate.

Brand Founders

Launching a product line without an in‑house formulation team. You need a working, documented formula — not just a brief.

Formula Problems

Your formula separates, smells off, fails stability, or the texture is wrong. Diagnose it properly before reformulating from scratch.

Scaling to Production

Formula worked at lab scale. At industrial batch size it behaves differently. Scale‑up requires process knowledge that's not in the formula itself.

Reformulation

Clean‑beauty conversion, cost reduction, or ingredient unavailability. Reformulate without losing what already works.

Five Ways to Bring Formulation Expertise In

01
Formula Dev

New Product Formulation

From product concept to a validated lab‑scale prototype. Includes ingredient selection, INCI nomenclature, pH calibration, initial stability benchmarks, and complete formulation documentation. Covers skincare, haircare, body care, and soap.

02
Troubleshooting

Stability & Performance Issues

Root‑cause diagnosis of emulsion separation, viscosity loss, pH drift, colour or odour changes, preservation failure, and surface finish problems. Delivered as a written analysis with a prioritised correction plan — not just a list of ingredient swaps.

03
Scale‑Up

Lab‑to‑Production Consulting

Bridging the gap between a bench-scale formula and an industrial batch. Addresses mixing order, shear rates, temperature profiles, phase behaviour at scale, and quality checkpoints — the issues that only appear when the batch size changes.

Reformulation

Improve or Modernise Existing Formulas

Clean‑beauty conversion, cost reduction, ingredient substitution due to supply chain issues, or regulatory compliance updates. Preserves the performance profile of the original formula while meeting new requirements.

Compliance

Regulatory & Documentation Support

INCI compliance review and basic regulatory documentation for Pakistan PSQCA, GCC, and EU. Includes formula sheets, ingredient declarations, and claim substantiation support.

Experience & Expertise

Bench Notes First.
Marketing Copy Second.

Five years of hands‑on formulation across skincare, haircare, and body care — from lab‑scale prototypes to industrial batches. Real formulation problems, diagnosed and solved at the bench.

Emulsion stability: Diagnosed phase separation traced to an emulsifier/electrolyte mismatch rather than the preservative system originally suspected — corrected by adjusting the emulsifier blend and re-validating under accelerated stability conditions.

Rheology correction: Diagnosed a thickening polymer overdose causing inconsistent viscosity between batches, and re-balanced the rheology system to give a stable, repeatable texture at production scale.

pH-sensitive actives: Buffered a niacinamide-containing formula to prevent gradual yellow discolouration over shelf life, preserving both the active's efficacy and the product's appearance.

Haircare range development: Developed a complete shampoo, conditioner, and serum line as a coordinated system rather than three standalone products, aligning conditioning agents across the range for consistent results.

How It Works

From First Message to Working Formula

1

You Reach Out

Fill in the enquiry form. The more context you share — product type, current challenges, timeline — the faster the first conversation moves.

2

Discovery Call

A short call to clarify scope, timeline, technical constraints, and what a successful outcome looks like. No charge.

3

Defined Scope

A written proposal with deliverables, timeline, and expectations agreed before any work starts. NDAs signed before any formula details are shared.

4

Formula & Docs

Development work begins. Deliverables: the formula, batch record, and all agreed documentation. Revisions built into scope.

The Kind of Feedback This Work Aims For

What Good Outcomes Look Like

The examples below are illustrative scenarios based on common project types — not quotes from named clients. Real client feedback will be added here as it's collected, with permission.

Illustrative

A skincare brand had been struggling with a separating sunscreen formula for months. A root-cause review identified an emulsifier mismatch, and a corrected formula was ready within a week.

Example: Skincare Brand Lahore, Pakistan
Illustrative

A formula performed well at small batch size but behaved differently once scaled up. Defined process parameters and QC checkpoints kept the first production run on track.

Example: Manufacturing Facility Karachi, Pakistan
Illustrative

A brand needed a clean-beauty reformulation of a hero moisturizer without losing the texture customers were used to. Performance characteristics were retained, with full documentation provided.

Example: Personal Care Brand Islamabad, Pakistan

All enquiries receive a response within 2–3 business days. NDAs are available on request before any technical details are shared.

Before You Enquire

Frequently Asked

Common questions before starting a project.

Do you work with international or remote clients?

Yes — all consulting work is done remotely. Clients from Pakistan, GCC, UK, and other markets are served through email, video calls, and shared documentation. No in‑person requirement for any service.

What information do you need to get started?

For new formulations: product type, target market, any specific claims, and ingredients to include or avoid. For troubleshooting: the current formula if available, the specific problem, and the conditions under which it appears.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. A mutual NDA is standard for any project involving proprietary formulas, brand strategy, or unreleased products. It's available before any technical details are shared.

Why is pricing not listed on this page?

Formulation scope varies enormously — a single troubleshooting consult is a very different engagement from developing a full product line. Pricing is quoted per project after a brief discovery call. There's no charge for the initial conversation.

What's a typical project timeline?

Troubleshooting engagements typically resolve in 1–2 weeks. New formula development runs 3–6 weeks depending on iteration rounds. Scale‑up consulting depends on batch scheduling at your production facility.
